The cost of a house in the 1980's was around $68,714 USD
The average price for a car was $7,210 USD
Half a gallon of milk was only 85¢!
While today's milk is around $2.60 per gallon.
Doing the math, a gallon of milk would be around $1.70 in the 1980s.
A gallon of gas was $1.19 in the 80s and 97 ¢ in 1989! That's a big difference compared to the current $3/gallon
The Nintendo Entertainment System's price was $200-354. The game cartridges (seen in the picture) costs $40-$50 depending how new the games were.
